Run Your Car On Water? Does It Work?

Run Your Car On Water? Does it work? Well does it? Report on if this fascinating story on hydrogen technology is really lowering fuel and resulting in getting better gas mileage. Decreasing fuel consumption by 4060.

Today however as necessity is the mother of invention the focus on making this a mainstream reality has narrowed to an aggressive focus. In the last two quarters of 2008 there has been a surge of scientific information on exactly how to apply this technology in the real world of the regular person who is trying to survive the sky rocketing cost of fuel. Recently there have been a number of excellent and informative conversion guides released into the market. With little or no technical skill required it is now possible to utilize the technology by using a worthy guide.

How does it work? With this hydrogen gas technology the idea is to replace some of the normal consumption of regular petroleum gas with hydrogen. Gaseous hydrogen burns readily and the consensus is that there is a notable increase in power. The basis for less fuel consumption is that the power from the hydrogen gas would cause the engine to back off on burning so much gasoline thereby handsomely increasing gas mileage up to 4060.

The hydrogen generator works on an age old process called electrolysis. Electrolysis is the conversion of water into its basic components hydrogen and oxygen. This is done by sending electricity through specially designed pieces of metal suspended in water. The tension caused by the electricity causes the molecules to separate. The result is the production of pure oxygen and hydrogen. Gas bubbles then rise into a collection container. From there the gas vapors travel through a tube that goes to where the car can suck in this hydrogen before it is directed into the engine.

I know this must sound pretty complicated but if you saw some of the common household materials that are used to give some of these generators life it would make you think really think about our government.

Radiator Hose: Ensuring The Flow Of The Coolant

A radiator hose is very important in a cooling system. Without it the radiator and coolant are both rendered useless since there will be no means to cool vital engine components. The radiator hose ensures that the coolant is distributed from the engine and back to the radiator. It also acts as the highway of the coolant through which heat flows back to the radiator where it is cooled. The coolant a mixture of water with ethylene glycol is also called antifreeze. It flows to the engine where the heat is taken away and back to the radiator. This happens when the coolant is cooled by the air coming through the grille or from the radiator fan.

Although they commonly come in the form of rubber various types of radiator hoses are now available. There are the accordion hoses molded hoses and the ordinary radiator hoses. Even if the radiator hose is durably made however it is still prone to deterioration. As fuel combustion occurs high pressure and high temperature gas are released leading to the high possibility of overheating. This means that the cooling components are not functioning well.

To avoid severe damages to the radiator hose experts advise to change it once every four years. Having it professionally assessed also proves to be helpful. However inspecting and replacing the radiator hose can be done by any motorist. The procedure starts by running the hand along each hose. The hose must not be brittle overly soft or swollen. A replacement is needed when it has cracks and leaks. The first thing to do when replacing the radiator hose is to empty the radiator of existing coolant. Once all the coolant is gone removing the defective radiator hose is next. Before placing the new radiator hose its interior should be greased. The new hose then is ready for clamping while the radiator has to be filled with new coolant.

Online Classified Ad Tips For Selling A Used Car

When it comes to selling a used car via an online classified ad you have the opportunity to reach a much larger audience than you would with traditional advertising methods. If you have never sold with this method or if you feel that your last sale could have gone better here are some tips to keep in mind that will help ensure a successful used car sale.

The first thing to do is to establish the value of your used car and the best way to do this is to consult a car values book and other existing online classified car ads with similar vehicles. You may also consider taking your car to a lot to see what a dealer would offer and then incorporate all of this information into the price that you include in your ad.

Next be sure to list the body style model and year of your used car as well as the engine size color and mileage. Honesty really is the best policy and if your car has some less than desirable qualities like cosmetic dings or rust be sure to emphasize the positive to offset these negative descriptions. Phrases such as one owner fuel economy well maintained and low mileage stand out to ad readers more than comments about imperfections that can be easily fixed.

After you have determined a price and written an effective ad the next step is to prepare your vehicle for sale. Have your car professionally cleaned and detailed and instead of spending money on major repairs which will likely cost you more than the price that you will receive for the car plan on being honest about the condition of your car both in the ad and in person.

Once your ad is posted and your car is ready it is time to wait for the calls and email inquiries to start rolling in. Be sure to give honest answers to questions and make an appointment for a specific time to show the car. If the prospective buyer is late or does not show up do not feel obligated to wait or hold the car for them just move on to the next person. Always check the title transfer procedures and requirements for your state before you transfer physical ownership of the car and always demand payment in cash or by certified check to protect your interests.

Online classified ads when used correctly can be powerful selling tools so use yours wisely following the above tips and you will be well on your way to a successful sale.
